Q: I am looking for a stock tune with a EGR delete. I have a built transmission with a transgo shift kit. My 3-5 shift is super hard. The truck is studded and has a coolant filter. I am not interested in big power just safe, reliable towing. Thanks

Q: Hi, I have a 2004 Ford E350 6.0 diesel and I'm looking for few tunes. The van is mostly stock with head studs, EGR bypass. I'm mainly looking for towing tune with better transmission shift points and more power. I will be towing close to 8K - 9K lbs and I need more power and hopefully, better fuel economy but more power and better fuel economy usually don't go together. Can you tell me if you have tunes for my van? If so, which would work best?

A: ok and I can write you custom tunes for your van. I suggest my custom 60hp tow with my highly customized shift points plus I can make your shifter button work like it does in the trucks which is tow/haul instead of just O/D lockout.

Q: Have a 04 SD250 6.0. Engine has new ARP head studs, 155cc stock nozzle injectors, powermax turbo, egrdelete, stainless steel up pipes, 4'exhaust, a FICM tuner by PHP, 6" atlas tow springs with helper bags and traction bars. Trans has a shift kit but i do not know what it was, installed by previous owner. I just purchased a 42' toy hauler and had a real nice 5th hitch installed in bed. I do not like the SRL+ or 8k tow tunes currently on my SCT Livewire TS. I am wanting something with a better 1st gear . these seem too soft when starting from a stop

A: ok and the best mild tune that everyone runs is my 80hp daily/light tow tune. That is the tune that I ran in my 05 Excursion and it put down 404 RWHP plus got 19mpg on the hwy and 16mpg in town.

Q: I’ve got a power stroke 6.0 with a powermax turbo. Stock injectors. I tow heavy often. (17,500 lbs.) I currently tow on the stock tune. Would custom tuning help my turbo perform better without putting my motor or head gaskets at risk while towing heavy? I do have arp head studs.

A: The SCT tuners will only program the PCM and the TCM. The FICM option is for me to customize the PCM tune for safety based on the FICM tune you are running.

Q: Hello, I am looking for a tune to fix the surge I get now since replacing my turbo and heads. I tow between 10-18k constantly. I am currently running a tow 65 tune. I have stage 2 Powerstroke products heads with arp studs, a 63mm Powermax, egr delete, and turbo back exhaust. When pulling a hill it seems to have a lot of lag before it shifts almost like it has no power and it will start to surge. I have to get off the throttle then back on and once it shifts it seems better. Also when I look for the strategy code it says not found? Any ideas thank you.

Q: Hello, I have a 2004 f-350 xlt. The truck has a KC stage 2 turbo, O-ringed heads, studs, deleted, 30 over injectors but I’m not sure what cc since I bought it with all theses modifications done so if I had to guess 155 or 175. It also has a 5 straight pipe, coolant filtration system, regulated return, and air dog 140 fuel pump and sump system. It came with a tune tho I’m not sure what tune is in it. The screen is an original edge monitor (really old). It had a stock trans in it which one day decided it was gonna quit. I tried replacing the shift solenoids which didn’t fix the problem then ultimately replaced the trans with another stock used one. A couple weeks later (today) It is now giving me the same issue. The codes it’s throwing are P0766 and P2703. I suspect it has something to do with mine pressure and not being able to keep up with the power of the truck. Now my question is will your tunes be able to fix this problem and not cause my truck to slip gears and shudder hard in reverse? Or should I put another transmission in then download the tunes to it?

A: ok and I suggest that you replace or rebuild the trans since it is already damaged. Then get with me so that I can get you new tunes to match the mods plus get you trans tuning to save the trans.

Q: I have a SCT SF3 3015 tuner that I tried to update using SCT's Device updater. It removed the current revision that stopped and now looks like it has been wiped clean and will not update. SCT support is saying they do not support it any longer and I have to buy a new device. It was working before trying to update it. Is there anyway I can get my current device working again?

A: If the device will boot up and support custom tunes then you can just order some of my custom tunes, but if it will not allow you to load the custom tunes then you will need to purchase a new X4.
