Q: What does flashing do? I want to upgrade some things on my 2001 f250 7.3L diesel, I have picked up some adjustable pedals to replace stock stationary pedals, also a keyless entry system w/keypad out of another f250, and an overhead computer console. Will I need to have my pcm flashed for these items to work or will they plug and play after wiring them to stock specs?

Asked by: Alzsuprmn - 2/14/2021
A: The PCM flash just flashes the computer with motor and trans changes. For the other things in the vehicle for your year, the GEM module needs to be programed with a scantool.

You need your GEM flashed.

Q: I tow a 31ft 5th wheel camper and a gooseneck 28’ flatbed. Wondering if a hp upgrade is recommended-if so which one...2004 f250 6.0 Do you pay for shipping back to me when I send you my pcm?

Asked by: Cephas410 - 2/17/2021
A: The PCM flash is only for the 7.3L trucks. For the 6.0L trucks we use the SCT programmers and I suggest either my 40hp tow/brake or 60hp tow/brake for the trailers depending on the weight and my 80hp daily for empty driving. https://www.dp-tuner.com/x4-7015-6-0l or the touchscreen https://www.dp-tuner.com/livewire-ts

Q: I have an 05 excursion with a 6.0 diesel. I'm looking to have the PATS system bypassed. Is that something you can program

Asked by: Dan - 3/6/2021
A: I do not have a way to bench flash that PCM. I can turn it off with a modified stock flash, but it will require that you purchase the SCT X4 tuner. https://www.dp-tuner.com/x4-7015-6-0l

Q: I bought a used Excursion and I'm not sure if the PCM was ever replaced. There's definitely some electrical weirdness going on; door lock polarity is swapped for only the driver and passenger doors, the rear hatch is ok. Could the PCM be the problem area? Is there a way to determine if the PCM was swapped and maybe doesn't hold the right program for my vehicle? I also could not get a tuner to connect as it said "unknown program installed" and would not load anything. Was thinking a stock flash may be a good idea to get back to a normal position to re-start trying to figure everything out. thanks

Asked by: Reed Nyght - 6/1/2021
A: Ok and yes a stock flash would be a good starting point. Just place the order here for the stock flash and select the Excursion option which if for PATS.

Q: I have a dpc-312 that shorted and I wanna flash a dpc-202 to run splitshot injectors and just move the pins in the connector so I can run it in my 97 cali truck. If I do that how can I go about tuning the truck. I currently have a ts6 and wanna keep it if I can

Asked by: Kris - 6/13/2021
A: ok and I can flash the DPC-202 with a custom tune for the injectors plus I will also need to flash the TS chip with custom tunes for the splitshot injectors. Just place the order online for the PCM flash and the TS chip reflash then ship them to me. I will flash them and ship them back out the next day.
