No updates to the chip will be necessary. The chip was designed with this in mind. Included with the purchase of the F6 SMARTChip- Software and Drivers 1-Mini to Female B USB cable and custom mounting bracket, 2-Screws and lock nuts for Mounting bracket and 1-USB cap 3-zip ties for securing cables.
